Returning for a third edition, Yacht Club Punta del Este continues its successful partnership with the Clipper Race, showcasing Uruguay on the global stage. Led by French Skipper David Sautret and Irish First Mate Lorraine O’Hanlon, with over 70,000 nautical miles of combined experience, the team embodies both racing ambition and crew spirit. With Punta del Este featuring as a host port for the fourth time, the yacht will once again carry Uruguayan pride and promote the club and destination worldwide.

After discovering sailing at university, Lorraine joined the Irish Naval Service and later circumnavigated the globe as Clipper 2023–24 Race Crew. With 40,000+ miles and a background in dinghy instruction and yacht racing, she returns as First Mate, bringing a love of teamwork and a deep connection to the Atlantic.
