British watchmaker NITE Watches has joined the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race as Official Timekeeper of the 2025–26 edition.

An independent British brand on a mission to create watches that can endure any outdoor passion, NITE redesigns classic watches so that everyone can wear them every day - and everywhere.

This new partnership brings together two brands united by precision, endurance, and adventure. NITE Watches and the Clipper Race embody a shared ethos in toughness and a relentless pursuit of challenge. This partnership is more than timekeeping; it's about a mutual belief in pushing boundaries and doing the hard things well.

As one of the most demanding yacht races on the planet, the Clipper Race covers over 40,000 nautical miles and challenges its non-professional Race Crew with some of the most hostile conditions on earth, providing NITE Watches with an opportunity to showcase its capabilities as a specialist in the watch industry.

Marking the partnership with a bespoke design called the ALPHA Z, Clipper Race Special Edition, the watch will feature customisation to the bezel, dial, hands, crown, strap, and case back, offering a bold and unique timepiece that meets the demands of ocean racing.

Roger Green, Founder and Managing Director of NITE Watches, said: "It truly is an honour for NITE Watches to be the Official Timekeeper of the Clipper Race, one of the world’s most extraordinary tests of human spirit. As someone who has always believed in living with purpose, chasing adventure, and facing life’s challenges head-on, I find deep inspiration in what the Clipper Race stands for.

“To mark this partnership, we’ve created a Special Edition timepiece that is specifically engineered to meet the relentless demands of ocean racing and designed to honour the passion, endurance, and determination that unites us all.”

NITE Watches has built a loyal following among adventurers, military personnel, and outdoor professionals. Every watch in its lineup features self-powered tritium illumination technology, ensuring 24/7 readability, even in the harshest conditions, and a crucial advantage for Clipper Race participants navigating through night watches and harsh ocean conditions.

The Clipper Race’s Deputy Race Director, Max Rivers, said: “Our Race Crew face extreme weather, relentless ocean swells, and intense physical and mental demands across each leg. Having NITE Watches on board as Official Timekeepers brings reliability and resilience that mirrors the spirit of the Clipper Race - it’s about precision under pressure and performing when it matters most.”

The Clipper 2025-26 Race gets underway later this month, on 31 August, from Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. A full programme of festivities will begin from 29 August and it’s your chance to see the world's largest matched fleet 70ft ocean racing yachts before teams embark on an epic 40,000 nautical mile race around the world.
