For an unbeatable view of the Clipper 2025-26 Race Start, recreational boat owners are invited to take to the water and be part of the excitement as the fleet sets sail from Gunwharf Quays.

Don't have your own boat but still want to watch from the water? No problem! Join us on board an official spectator boat.

SPECTATE ON YOUR OWN BOAT

Join a flotilla of fellow spectators and witness the ten Clipper 70 yachts embark on their epic circumnavigation of the globe, from one of the best vantage points; your own vessel. It’s the perfect way to soak up the atmosphere, feel the energy of the race start, and be right at the heart of this extraordinary moment in maritime history.

Join us on board one of our official spectator boats and be at the heart of the action!

Soak up the atmosphere from the water and get ready to cheer and wave off the fleet as it begins its incredible 40,000 nautical mile circumnavigation of the globe.

Limited spaces are available so don't miss out!

Watch on shore

Take your position at some of Portsmouth and Southsea’s best vantage points, and feel the excitement as the race fleet sets off on its extraordinary adventure around the world. There are some great viewing locations within walking distance from Gunwharf Quays, with Southsea Castle seafront offering the best views. Limited transport from Gunwharf will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Watch as the yachts depart from Gunwharf Quays and head towards the start line at Southsea Castle. Once the Cannon is fired from the walls of Southsea Castle, marking the official Race Start, it’s flags waving and goodbye to the fleet as it passes over the horizon.

Don't forget to collect your Clipper Race flags to wave them off!
